Your cottage sits empty through the heaviest snow of the year. We keep the laneway, walkways, and roof under control so you can get in when you need to, the plumber can reach a burst pipe, and spring opening is not a list of winter damage.
Seasonal plans from $499. Per-storm clearing available. Site quote first.
The plowing is the easy part. The access, structural, and liability gaps are what actually hurt.
Access, safety, and roof oversight on one managed plan, tied into the rest of your property care.
Both, depending on the job. We handle walkways, de-icing, and access-clearing directly, and for heavy laneway plowing and roof work we use vetted, fully insured local operators we have worked with. Either way you deal only with us: one contract, one number, one set of photo reports. We carry the relationship with the operator so you never have to chase a plow truck.
We work on a trigger-depth model, not a fixed clock. Once snowfall passes the agreed trigger (usually 5cm), your property enters the clearing route. During a major storm everyone in the area is being cleared at once, so we are honest up front: we prioritise safe access over a guaranteed hour. If you need a hard morning deadline (for a rental changeover, say), tell us and we will build the plan around it.
Seasonal plans are the core offering and start at $499 for a standard Collingwood-area driveway. Long or steep laneways common in the Blue Mountains and Craigleith cost more because they take longer and need more sand. We also do per-storm and one-off clearing for owners who only visit occasionally. The final number depends on laneway length, slope, and how much walkway and roof work you want included, so every plan gets a quick site quote first.
We monitor roof load as part of every plan and clear it when it is warranted, using insured crews and roof rakes rather than anyone climbing an icy roof unnecessarily. For most cottages the real value is catching the problem early: we flag a heavy roof or a forming ice dam in the photo report before it becomes a leak, instead of you discovering it at spring opening.
For a normal snowfall we clear once after it settles. For a multi-day or heavy storm we may clear partway through to keep access open and prevent a load that is harder and more expensive to move later. You will see each pass in your photo log.
Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, Craigleith, Lora Bay, Clarksburg, Wasaga Beach, and Meaford. If your cottage is just outside that ring, ask. We will tell you honestly whether we can serve it well rather than overcommit.
Year-round
Bi-weekly inspections and upkeep. Pairs with snow removal so the laneway is open the moment we need to get in.

Monitoring
Temperature, power, and water alerts all winter, so a heating failure during a cold snap reaches you before the pipes do.
