Seasoned hardwood: a mix of maple, oak, ash, and birch depending on local supply. Hardwood burns longer and hotter than softwood, which matters for a woodstove carrying a cottage through a cold Georgian Bay night. If you specifically want birch for an open fireplace look, ask and we will source it.
Yes. We deliver wood that has been dried to roughly 20% moisture or lower, which is the point where it lights easily, burns clean, and does not pack your chimney with creosote. For a winter delivery you need heat now, not wood that has to dry in your shed for a year, so we do not substitute green wood.
Seasonal delivery and stacking starts at $499 per bush cord (a stacked 4ft x 4ft x 8ft volume) in the Collingwood area; price varies with quantity, wood type, and how far the stacking spot is from the truck. A weekend cottage with regular woodstove use over a ski season typically goes through one to three cords. We will give you a straight quote based on your usage and access.

Yes, and that is the most popular option for absentee owners. We monitor your supply as part of our regular property visits and refill before you run out, so there is always dry wood waiting. You are never the one checking the rack in February.
